Amanda recently joined the MJMDA team as an Interior Designer where she aspires to contribute towards winning all the awards that come along the way.
Having successfully obtained an MCAST certificate in Draughtsmanship in 2005, and a Diploma in Interior Design with Rhodec International by distance learning in 2011, she proceeded to read for a degree in Interior Design with Staffordshire University, and graduated in 2014.
During these years working in the field, Amanda has managed to get her hands dirty with a variety of projects that have enriched her and made her become quite versatile in execution. She has worked on projects including hotel rooms, restaurants, bars and café’s, offices, shops, an old people’s home, apartments, villas, houses of character, townhouses, terraced houses and duplex penthouses; She does not limit herself to one style but prides herself in remaining open to accommodate the desires and tastes of the client. Amanda’s firm belief is that each client and therefore project, has its own unique story and outcome.
She has an intense attraction towards anything creative and feels very passionately about art and design. Being surrounded by creative people inspires her, nourishes her and motivates her to become better at what she does. She loves working at MJMDA because it’s an office where projects are given a soul and which allow her to delve into each one with eagerness.
In her free time, you might find her covered in paint, creating an abstract piece of art, immersed in a good book, researching design trends, travelling or enjoying a good workout. She loves being surrounded by nature as she feels it grounds her, and listening to rock music especially when stuck in traffic! She enjoys the occasional beer and a good chat with friends and most of all, loves spending time with her dog.
