Designed October 2011
A building is made a home by the people who live in it. Then, it is complete.
People and their homes form a symbiotic relationship. Each one gives to the other and each one takes from the other. In this project, there was even more to it than that.
The house’s new owners were infatuated with the essence that was missing in the building. Here was a space that life seemed to have glossed over with no impact of note. Save for a few balavostri, the building missed decorative or historical character. The house seemed to have been built and developed in a manner entirely oblivious to life’s significant moments.
Our clients got their hands on the house in 2011. They did so with a mission to impart on the building their well-versed contemporary lifestyle. The MJMDA team crafted a space that radiates the decorative sophistication that the building previously missed.
