The Woven One radiates psychological elevation and renewal. Standing beside a valley but not quite at its edge, The Woven One is neither urban nor rural. Here is a space where one flows through to the other.
MJMDA wove the valley into the building’s architecture on this project. The gorge permeates the build and flows towards the earth and the sky.
The old stepped pathways that lead to the valley have taken on renewed importance. They now stream into and through the residence, and lead upwards towards the heavens. Their movement is frozen in time as an architectural whole that we can call home.
